Blossoming indie-pop icons Prima Queen announce their signing to Submarine Cat Records with the moreish new heartbreak anthem 'Fool'. Guided by powerful vocal melodies and luscious harmonies, tight beats and gritty guitars bulk out the sonic backdrop as the duo's achingly relatable lyricism contemplates a confusing past relationship. They explain, ‘Fool’ is about “loving someone who is anxious-avoidant and grappling with the fact that they’re incapable of giving you the type of love that you need. It’s the song that took us the longest to write - we started it years ago but kept changing the lyrics because it never felt quite finished. It wasn’t until the relationship was over when we finally understood what we were trying to say.” Imbued with a triumphant post-break up glow, the result is joyful and uplifting in spite of its melancholy subtext.
